Finding Your Energizing Scent
Citrus First
Citrus is the usual starting point. Citrus Grove is lemon, orange and bergamot, Limoncello is lemon zest and candied citrus, and Capri Sunrise is sugared citrus and orange.
Or Skip The Citrus
If citrus feels too sharp, try Beach House for ocean breeze and sun-warmed air, or Cucumber Melon for crisp cucumber and melon.
Mornings And Busy Rooms
For kitchens, try Citrus Grove, Limoncello, Capri Sunrise or Caffè Latte. For entryways, Blush Berry Fizz or Fraser Fir. For home offices, Citrus Grove, Barber Shop or Caffè Latte.
Two Ways To Use Every Bottle
Each bottle can also be used as a room spray with the included fine mist attachment. Because the formula is concentrated and oil-based, a light spray is all you need to fill a room. Avoid spraying directly on leather, vinyl, wood, or painted surfaces, and be cautious over bare floors which can become slippery with repeated use.
What Makes A Scent Feel Energizing
The scents people call energizing usually lead with a bright top note, the first part of a fragrance you notice. Citrus peel, green leaves, sea air and cut pine all open that way.
Fraser Fir and Barber Shop take the green route. Fraser Fir is cut fir and pine needle, and Barber Shop pairs fir needle with talcum and amber, so it is crisp with a softer, powdery finish.
Fruit and flowers can do it too. Blush Berry Fizz pairs sparkling berries with tangerine, and Blooming Jasmine layers jasmine petals over green leaves.
Coffee is the exception to the citrus rule. Caffè Latte is fresh brewed coffee with steamed milk and vanilla, warm rather than sharp, but coffee is such a familiar morning smell that it belongs here.

Barber Shop
Talcum, amber and fir needle. It opens on bergamot and lemon peel, for bathrooms and home offices.
Blooming Jasmine
Night jasmine in full bloom. The floral in the group, and one of our most reviewed scents.
Caffè Latte
Espresso and steamed milk. The morning scent for anyone who would rather smell coffee than citrus.
Tips For A Bright Room
Use Them Early
Run bright scents in the morning and switch to something softer after dinner.
Start On A Low Setting
Start low and turn the diffuser up only if the room needs more. A small room needs less than an open kitchen.
Rotate Two Scents
Switching between two bright scents every week or so, such as Citrus Grove and Seagrass, keeps both noticeable.
Energizing Scent Questions
What scents are energizing?
Citrus, fresh greens, sea air, pine and coffee are the notes most often picked for a bright, lively room.
Which bright scents are not citrus?
Beach House, Cucumber Melon and Fraser Fir have no citrus notes.
What is the difference between Citrus Grove and Limoncello?
Citrus Grove is lemon, orange and bergamot with green leaves, so it reads fresh. Limoncello is lemon zest with candied fruit, musk and vanilla, so it reads sweeter.
Can I use energizing scents in a bedroom?
Yes, especially in the morning. Fresh Linen is a gentler bright scent that is suited to bedrooms.
What sizes do these come in?
Most come in 4 oz., 8.5 oz. and 24 oz. bottles, and Citrus Grove and Limoncello start at 8.5 oz. All but Citrus Grove, Limoncello, Seagrass, Fraser Fir and Barber Shop also come in 1 gallon.
