Amber, Wood Or Spice
Rouge Royale and Luxury Hotel are the amber scents. Lobby Noir is the woody one, with red cedar and patchouli. Apple Cinnamon and Pumpkin Spice are the spiced ones, with cinnamon, nutmeg and clove in both.
Light Or Rich
Luxury Hotel is the lightest, with ozone, lemon and white florals over its amber. Rouge Royale is the richest, with saffron, amberwood and ambergris.
Room By Room
Luxury Hotel or Lobby Noir in the entryway. Rouge Royale in the living room or dining room. Apple Cinnamon in the kitchen and Pumpkin Spice in the family room.

Two Ways To Use Every Bottle
Each bottle can also be used as a room spray with the included fine mist attachment. Because the formula is concentrated and oil-based, a light spray is all you need to fill a room. Avoid spraying directly on leather, vinyl, wood, or painted surfaces, and be cautious over bare floors which can become slippery with repeated use.
Why Warm Scents Suit Cooler Months
Warm scents are most common from September through winter. The windows close, the heat comes on, and amber, spice and cedar suit a closed-up house better than citrus does.
The spiced scents are the most seasonal. Apple Cinnamon fits from the first cool week of September through the holidays, and Pumpkin Spice belongs to October and November. Both read as homey rather than formal, which is why they show up most in kitchens and family rooms.
Amber and wood are less tied to the calendar. Rouge Royale, Luxury Hotel and Lobby Noir work all year, so they are the ones to choose if you want a warm scent in spring or summer.
Our Best Warm Scents
Rojo real
Saffron and jasmine with amberwood, ambergris, cedar and fir resin. One of our best sellers, commonly chosen for living rooms and dining rooms. Saffron gives it a slightly spicy, almost leathery edge that sets it apart from Luxury Hotel.
Hotel de lujo
Ozone, lemon rind and bergamot over gardenia, jasmine and water lily, with amber and white musk underneath. Polished rather than sweet, and a common choice for entryways and living rooms. It smells the way a five-star lobby does when you first walk in.
Blush Berry Fizz
Crisp apple and pomelo over jasmine, rose and geranium, finished with soft musk, red cedar and patchouli. Our newest warm scent, and a common choice for entryways. It shares Luxury Hotel's polish but trades the white florals for darker woods.
Manzana y canela
Red apple, lemon zest and bergamot over warm cinnamon, clove and nutmeg, with vanilla cream and cedarwood in the base. A common choice for kitchens and family rooms. The easiest of the spiced scents to run every day.
Especias de calabaza
Spiced pumpkin with cinnamon, nutmeg and clove. The most fall-specific scent in this collection, and a common choice for living rooms and kitchens. Toasted and spiced rather than sugary.
Tips For Using Warm Scents
Start On A Lower Setting
Amber and spice read stronger in a closed room than fresh scents do. Start any new warm scent low and adjust for the room from there.
Keep Spice And Amber Apart
Pumpkin Spice next to Rouge Royale muddies both. If you run more than one diffuser, put the spiced scent and the amber scent on different floors.
Change Scents As Fall Goes On
Start fall with Apple Cinnamon, move to Pumpkin Spice in October and switch to Rouge Royale or Lobby Noir once the holidays arrive.
Warm Scent Questions
What makes a scent warm?
Notes like amber, cinnamon, clove, saffron and cedar. They read deeper and richer than citrus, florals or fresh scents.
What does amber smell like?
Smooth, resinous and slightly sweet. It usually sits in the base of a fragrance, so it is the part that lingers after the brighter notes fade.
How is Apple Cinnamon different from Pumpkin Spice?
Apple Cinnamon is fruitier and lighter, with red apple and citrus zest up top and vanilla cream underneath. Pumpkin Spice is centered on spiced pumpkin and leans harder on clove.
Is Lobby Noir sweet?
Only lightly. The apple and pomelo at the start are fruity, but the musk, red cedar and patchouli underneath give it a dry, woody finish.
Do all of these warm scents come in 4 oz.?
Yes. All five come in 4 oz., 8.5 oz. and 24 oz., and Luxury Hotel, Rouge Royale and Lobby Noir also come in 1 gallon.
